Premium, Bespoke and Sustainable Eyewear
Eyecadia
Kerry Fisher is the proud owner of one the brightest retailers in Wrexham called Eyecadia, located in a prime position on the High Street. Eyecadia offers the discerning customer premium, bespoke eyewear and a unique value proposition.
Bespoke
Service
Official stockists for FACE A FACE, Moscot, Evil Eye and Feb 31st, Kerry has built up an enviable reputation of working with independent, family run businesses offering sustainable products that are different to others.

About
Established formally in 2023, Kerry is a qualified dispensing optician and is well known locally to many. She was once a popular radio show host with Marcher Sound - known as Black Thunder Kerry - and she continues to volunteer and support the community with regular breakfast shows on Wrexham Premier Radio.
Originally from Wrexham, Kerry has lived in New Zealand, the Isle of Man and Devon before returning to her roots up here again in Wrexham to set up her own business after enjoying island life.

Values
When we asked her why bespoke eyewear in Wrexham, Kerry explained;
“All the amazing brands were already well established in places like Manchester - less so in Liverpool – and none in Wrexham – so I saw the gap to focus on value and not volume. I could have easily stocked top end brands, famous the world over, but working with independent like-minded businesses to mine and not conglomerates is essential to Eyecadia’s core values and ethos.”

The Process
In addition to running the busy stylish operations on the High Street, Kerry also offers locum services for a national client and has just enrolled in the London College of Style studying Colour Analysis, so that all her certifications remain relevant and up to date.
Understanding the client’s needs are key, and because eyewear is an emotional purchase, Kerry spends a great deal of time getting to know her customer needs. This starts off with a questionnaire and a 1:1 styling appointment, so that when they arrive Kerry has suitable frames ready and can build their ‘eyewear wardrobe’.

Collaboration
Working closely with other local businesses is also key to Kerry’s approach to winning.
In addition to learning Welsh, Kerry always looks to help others in the community, and collaborates with other retailers in town including Rich from nearby Station Vintage and Sophie who owns nearby Creu – one of our first independent retailers profiled right here on Visit Wrexham.
Here Kerry has used Sophie's art work in creating unique, bespoke custom made frames with Feb 31st as shown above.

Famous clients
Focusing on 4 specific brand manufacturers, Kerry advised that these businesses also align with her values on sustainability. For example, Feb31st frames are handmade out of sustainable wood in Italy, offering a highly bespoke and unique service – which means some of Wrexham’s most famous names are direct clients of Eyecadia.
Wrexham AFC Chief Executive Michael Williamson recently purchased some handmade wooden frames personalised with a Celtic dragon. So, it’s fair to say that with Wrexham’s continued success on the pitch this season - helping their top management see clearly and to look the part - is something the whole town is behind!

Future plans
Always championing the needs of the local independent trader on the high street, we look forward to sharing further updates and stories later this year on the success and support that Kerry’s business is making with others across the heart of Wrexham, helping us all do better and rise together.
For all your premium, bespoke eyewear needs – make sure you visit Eyecadia on Wrexham High Street.
