Vault 33
Vault 33 is a former bank and period building, situated on a prominent site on Wrexham High Street, and is an uber cool and chic bar.
Hard to believe it's still in its infancy, the friendly welcome you receive upon arrival and chilled vibe makes it feel like you are stepping back into a place that you have known for a very long time.
We were fortunate to catch up with one of the owners, Neil Roberts - Robbo - early on a match day, just as the bar was opening up and coming to life. One of three close friends, Neil with the support from Craig and Geraint - all collectively make it happen.
We heard first hand just how the business came into being and how it now welcomes both locals and tourists alike in this classy operation, based in the heart of Wrexham.
Right from the very outset the team had a combined vision to create a safe, enjoyable and classy destination. It would focus on a gap in the market and space that they believed needed addressing, for sophisticated audiences.
With a superb themed wall towards the rear of the building depicting the great legends that have played for Wrexham, this custom piece is beautifully overlaid with important and evocative images of the town and moments captured, provoking powerful memories. Take some time when you visit simply to appreciate this compelling visual account of Wrexham's rich social history.
Vault 33 welcomes all but particularly suits those looking for a respectful environment offering a wide range of drinks, cocktails and evenings out.
Trying not to pidgeonhole itself in any particular type of bar category, Vault 33 has a little element of everything to cater for a wide range of demographics and customers.
Without a doubt it's is a great place to watch Wrexham AFC games and has recently extended opening hours both on match days and during the week with the continued growth in business in town, and the success of the bar.
With tall ceilings and great acoustics there is live music on most weekends, and in addition there are book signings, cocktail events and wine tasting evenings. It is also available to hire for private parties for those looking for something extra special so it very much caters for both a growing regular clientele and repeat business.
And thanks to the whole team's passion and continued determination - they've made it the business.
