Phil Green
Photography
Phil Green Photography is based just outside of Wrexham and covers events and projects both here in Wrexham and across North Wales. Since launching his business nearly 5 years ago, Phil has worked with many community groups, sports teams, and organisations across the region — including being the official team photographer for the North Wales Crusaders Rugby League during their 2024 season.
We sat down over a coffee at The Foundry and Phil told us his approach is all about making people feel comfortable in front of the camera, and he aims to do it in such a way that feels authentic, artistic, and meaningful.
Phil also shared with us he has a new love for street photography, producing eye catching colour and black-and-white images that highlight everyday emotion and timeless drama. We very much look forward to sharing more of his work being captured right here on our doorstep in the near future.

Rising up to take on the world it’s
Wrexham
Cider

Brothers Andy and Simon Beech have lived and worked in Wrexham for over 50 years but have only recently launched their brand new business venture called Wrexham Cider, an exciting new producer, wholesaler and retailer of premium cider. We had the opportunity to meet with the founders as they shared with us their vision, and their journey so far.

Explaining what they have achieved in a very short period of time – we had in fact only discovered their new cider in the Spring whilst holidaying in North Wales. Andy shared the work required in creating a trademarked great brand and launching a top quality product from scratch. Operating from their dedicated premises in Wrexham they shared with us an account of their hard work and efforts to date to get the business going.

Andy explained that many other existing premium ciders are in fact made from concentrated apple juice, but theirs is different.
They use apple juice made directly from fruit and not concentrate, which makes their ciders brighter, naturally colourful and much fresher tasting.

We heard about what they did for their first concepts to now supplying leading pubs and bars across North Wales including Café Gwynant in Snowdonia and The Stanton House Inn in Chirk. These early adopters have been incredibly supportive since the very beginning.
Locally, The Turf in Wrexham and the Wrexham Visitor Information Centre also stock their ciders. This helps showcase the product to many visitors and are conveniently located in town.

We learned Wrexham Cider is in fact only created from 156 varieties of apples from heritage orchards – thereby guaranteeing only the freshest and best possible apples grown in the UK - ever make it into their cider.

All design, production efforts and suppliers are kept local or delivered in house and Simon explained to us they have already secured their first independent supermarket here in North Wales and are preparing the business for rapid expansion and growth.
As firm Wrexham advocates they are actively developing additional local routes to market which include local bread manufacturers who are now baking products with Wrexham Cider baked in – thereby growing the appeal of the brand.
We look forward to seeing the brand grow and seeing many more places across Wrexham stocking their premium ciders.
