A familiar face to many, Kim is one of Wrexham’s leading professional tour guides
Wrexham
City
Tours
We first met Kim last summer - when we were first launching Visit Wrexham and she was busy creating her business, Wrexham City Tours.

Kim’s been an ambassador for Wrexham for over 15 years
in a voluntary capacity informing tourists about and promoting Wrexham before making it professional. Kim said to us
“I've actually been doing the Welcome to Wrexham site tours for over 3 years. I have a lot of connections with supporters in America through WhatsApp sites and supporters’ groups that I'm part of. I've also met up with supporters the last time I was in the US as well as in Canada. I met up and spent a few days with friends in Dublin from Canada and Northern Ireland I’ve known for years. They were one of the first supporters that I met and did tours with along with a couple from Phoenix and Portland. Which was all before I launched the website.”

Wind the clock
forward a year
and Kim is now widely recognised as one of Wrexham’s leading professional tour guides. During the same period Visit Wrexham were appointed by Brit Movie Tours, the UK’s leading film tour guide business with over 50,000 tours delivered per year, as their preferred distributor for the highly popular and official ‘Welcome to Wrexham Tour’ guide, delivered by Kim’s business.
25 Years in Wrexham
Kim started going to the matches from around 1998/99 when she would come to Wrexham once a month for shopping. Previously she lived over in Gwynedd and moved to Wrexham some 25 years ago. So well before the Welcome to Wrexham series, Kim watched the club's global renaissance develop from the very front row.
Wales Best Guides
Kim holds a White Badge authorisation from Wales Best Guides, the body that accredits guides for Wales. Customer reviews consistently describe her as personable, knowledgeable, and deeply connected to the community - one visitor noted she "seemed to know every second person" and arranged on the fly introductions with famous faces from the show, also profiled here on Visit Wrexham.

The tours blend documentary filming locations with the town's broader heritage.
Kim is a proud member of the Wrexham Red Dragons. The Red Dragons is an American website promoting everything Wrexham as well as Wrexham AFC Men’s and Women’s teams.
Her business is branded Wrexham City Tours, offering both a 2.5-hour documentary tour and a 2-hour history & heritage walk, both starting at the Wrexham Visitor Centre on Chester Street. The tours briefly pause outside Visit Wrexham’s offices, given our prime location in Wrexham’s cultural quarter, set below St Giles’ Church.

Growing together - with rising demand
Kim’s a highly driven personality and is often spotted on the High Street. She sees the opportunity first hand every day that increased visitor numbers brings our amazing town. Through her established reputation, which is amplified by the reach of our website, we will now be working closer together to help grow the capacity and number of tours being delivered across town and the surrounding areas to meet the growing international demand, especially as Wrexham eyes up the City of Culture 2029.
Quality
Tours
Quality of service and experience mean a lot too. Kim’s business follows the professional standards of Wales Best Guides Association (WOTGA) that implements the framework and standards of the Federation of European Guiding as well as other professional organisations with the same standards.
This means customers from across Europe and the rest of the world can be confident that the tours offered are official and delivered to the highest standards.
Community
Focused
Actively engaged with the local community, Kim networks with many other familiar names and faces in the town. She partners with Racecourse Ramble which is a popular podcast about Wrexham AFC and Wrexham Women Supporters Group and is connected to countless others.
And Finally
As a proud nanna she also tells us that her 15-year-old grandson played and represented Wrexham in a leading national golf competition coming joint 6th. Sporting icon Gareth Bale is behind the inspiration for the next generation of golfers in Wales by backing a new national Under 16 sports event for boys and girls, supported by Wales. He plays for Wales in national competitions and is part of The Welsh Golf Academy for juniors on the Pathway Course of the Dragon being part of the Aspire North at Golf Cymru/Wales Golf. He will represent Wrexham in the Azata Golf Junior European Open in November 2026 to be played in Spain. Wishing them both luck on and off the course, we look forward to sharing further updates and building on our already successful partnership together.
