If you're new to Wrexham, and looking for some helpful in-person advice on where to go, so that you can make the most of your time here, then you should swing by the Wrexham Visitor Information Centre. Centrally located just outside Ty Pawb on Chester Street.

Kev, Deb, Lyn and Reece based here offer friendly invaluable help and advice, and have many years of insider knowledge and experience between them. Being local they know what is going on and where to visit, with many useful free of charge guides and leaflets to help you make the most of your time and visit to Wrexham.

Ragazzi, the flagship store of Yorke Street, is situated near the junction between Yorke Street and the High Street itself, and occupies one of the prime locations in the heart of Wrexham. It is best accessed by parking over at Eagle's Meadow, then walking over to the bridge to their main entrance.


Established originally some 30 years ago and based on the current site now for over 10 years, the business prides itself in providing premium men’s lifestyle fashion and exceptional service. Joint business partners Olly and Andy have been running the business together successfully for many years and have built up a committed loyal following of regular clients and customers.


Stocking high end designer brands such as Boss, Belstaff, Carharrt, Fred Perry, Gramicci, Paul Smith, Snow Peak and many more, Ragazzi’s clients travel to store from across the entire north west to see and buy selected items in person. The business has invested in a modern e-commerce website and online offering as well to give their discerning clients the freedom of choice in exactly how they prefer to be a customer, supported with regular newsletters and the right level of digital engagement.

The team continually invest a lot of thought into the look and layout of their sizeable store. Walls are have original works for sale from local artist Largey’s Art and others. The store runs the entire length of the building, with a main floor and two further rooms, meaning there is always a significant amount of stock and choices available, and offers a price bracket for everyone.

Love wine? Then a warm welcome awaits you over at Alticcio. With hand-picked wines from both the new and old worlds, this boutique wine store run by family business owners Beata and Renata is based on Henblas Street. 

And to broaden your palate and get introduced to their in house favourites, the team offers wine tasting evening experiences, hosted every other Friday, with carefully selected wines paired with cheeses and canapes for taste experience sensations.

Husband and wife team Martin and Ruth Rees celebrate 40 years trading in their historic premises in Chester Street this year - and it’s been a jewellers for over 100 years. 

Their Aladdin’s Cave of a shop specialises in pre-owned and vintage gold and silver jewellery (available on their website as well as in-store). The friendly staff pride themselves on giving excellent customer service and offer a lovely space for browsing at your leisure and discussing your needs with their experienced team. You might even get to meet their cute shop mascot, Dottie the Dachshund. Dottie, also known as their 'assistant valuer' came trotting out from the workshop to meet with us when we called.

You can also pick up some great information hand-outs they’ve produced for visitors to Wrexham, including a highly detailed Heritage Trail leaflet - and there’s an online version of this to be found on their website too. In their spare time we found out they also love going to theme parks, The Smiler and Wicker Man roller-coasters at Alton Towers are their favourites. A great find and without a doubt, the team are all great advocates for Wrexham.

Named Barbershop of the Year 2025 at the Wales Prestige Awards, Saira took over the helm at the oldest barbers in town and has now run it for over 2 years. Some of her team have over 20 years experience and they all proudly offer great value cuts and walk in services. 

Their locally famous name has catered for multiple generations of customers spanning from Grandads to grandsons. Open early and late and at weekends for those looking for that traditional high street independent barber service and prices that you just can't beat.

Mark's store is located down Bank Street and has been a firmly established 'old school hobby game shop' for nearly 10 years.

Specialising in Magic The Gathering and many others, traditional board games and gaming books, there is everything a budding hobbyist would ever need in store. Games nights themselves are an important addition to the day-to-day operations and in store custom that Mark prides himself with.

Hosting various themed nights typically on Wednesdays and other regular events for many locals, Mark's store also is chosen to host special events and tournaments sponsored by the games manufacturers themselves, where customers travel in from many miles around. As a result, Mark's successful business and reputation has built up quite the following.

Stocking vast amounts of films not available on the main streaming service platforms is Mad4Movies. Based in a prominent unit located just inside the new Butcher's Arcade development on the High Street. 

In addition to a huge film collection, there is a growing music, book and puzzle magazine collection. Rob's business taps into the recent growing demand for real physical media and this is reflected in his steadily growing client base. 

Friends with local filmmaker Leighton Cox, Rob's store has been made world wide famous as it was featured in an episode of Welcome to Wrexham.

Rob has had a number of famous guest shoppers with the likes of Ollie Palmer from Wrexham AFC, Mark Steele from the BBC and H from Steps. They all have stopping by to pick up something when in town, with Rob's growing reputation of stocking difficult to track down movies and classics.
